Finally, what millions of players around the world were waiting for will come true next April 4^th: Battlefield Play4Free will reach its open beta. After 4 long months of closed beta, Electronics Arts will open the game for all the players that register themselves on the official site, who will test the newest features of this amazing first-person shooter (also shooting game).

After over 600,000 people subscribed to play the closed beta (which started on November 30^th), a new wave of lucky players will have the opportunity to test the online game of this war series (probably be one of the top online games). Several familiar features, for starters: this new online version will combine upgraded versions of the maps and vehicles (helicopters, fighter jets and tanks) from Battlefield 2 with the amazing weapons and classes from Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and with leveling and customization systems found on Battlefield Heroes.

The battles will support up to 32 players and the scenarios will be set in modern locations. In this way, the users will have the possibility to choose to play as United States or as Russia. Additionally, one of the most revamped features of Battlefield Play4Free will be its graphics: with a deep level of realism, thanks to the inclusion of high resolution artwork and post-processing effects, the game will put players right in the middle of the action.
