Cuevana is a website where you can find free online movies and TV shows. This site was created by a group of Argentine students which currently leads its kind with huge success in Latin America.

Its founders, originally from the province of San Juan, explained in an interview for Rolling Stone the main reason for creating Cuevana was basically to simplify the process of watching free movies and series for Internet users. The inspiration came at times when there was the weekly need of searching for episodes of series like Lost and House back in 2009. The implementation of the site was as fast as its exponential growth (it now has more than half a million hits per day)

Once released to the public, Cuevana had to implement the changes necessary that success began to demand: hiring more people and using new programming techniques for high traffic.

At present the team consists of 10 people.

But, why Cuevana is successful?

Cuevana is really concerned about the quality of the videos (some are really insane-high quality videos) indexed by them. This is what people like about Cuevana, and also how easy and intuitive is browsing this site. So the high quality videos and simple site navigation are key factors for success. I’m also convinced that having alternative links to see the same video is a feature that takes the cake.

In addition, it allows users to select the subtitles for their own language. This makes Cuevana a worldwide success.
