Finally, the new test version of one of the best Internet browsers is out and available for Android and Maemo users around the world. That’s right: Mozilla Firefox 4 Beta has been released for those mobile platforms and from the company itself are encouraging users to download the new app to test it. If you’re among the millions of Firefox’s enthusiasts, then you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to try it out and give your feedback to help with this great browser’s development.
Users can rest assured that this version isn’t a reduced edition of the desktop application. They’ll find all the functions and customization options they already know and love, such as tabbed browsing, Firefox Sync (which you can use to share your bookmarks, tabs and more from your PC to your mobile device and vice versa) and the infamous Firefox addons, that will allow users to add all sorts of features.
Mozilla Firefox 4 Beta also has something for all developers out there. This edition allows them to work on restartless add-ons (that is, that you can install and start using without having to close your Firefox) and it provides them with support for HTML5 online/offline events.
As you surely know by now, this edition is released with test purposes only. So, if you’re interested in contributing to the development of a more stable and faster mobile browser, you can download Firefox 4 Beta now and start writing your improvements’ report. Android users can find the app here while Maemo users can do it here.
