We’ve already talked about the release of certain devices and services that offer an interesting mix: you can access the Web while watching your TV. Let me clarify that we aren’t talking about a rough mashup: the idea is to combine the strengths of both platforms to create something new; a service that will provide people with more alternatives to enjoy their favorite TV shows while sharing commentaries on the top social networks, uploading pictures to the Internet and listening to music… all in only one device!

And there’re many people that got accustomed to live that way and now is confused about how to use a PC. That’s why the people over at Google have created some fine tutorials with which you can teach your closest ones (parents, grandparents, friends, etc.) how to manage themselves around the Web.

This year has been an amazing one in terms of technological improvements and releases. Think of the tablet PC invasion (and the raise of the iPad as the new popular obsession), of Android’s growth on the mobile operating systems market and of the release of both Google TV and Apple TV with the particular ambition of redefining the way we watch TV. Yes, 2010 will be remembered as a key year for some devices and gadgets but what about 2011? What will the next year bring? I certainly have no crystal ball but I’ll pretend that I have it, so I’ll share my predictions with you. Let’s take a look.

The giant of the Internet is back under the spotlight. This time its official website states that Google TV devices will be distributed, which will enable users to watch TV channels, navigate the web and also copy and edit multimedia contents.

The integration of the Web to the TV is not a new idea, competitors such as Apple have taken advantage of such technology long time ago. It seems that Google has taken the risk of giving this technology another turn and proposes to enlarge the offer with the inclusion of all kinds of applications for its users in Google TV. To exemplify this, we just need a button: you will be able to enjoy contents on line in networks such as YouTube, Pandora, Napster, and Amazon, among others.
